Angel Wings Commission Complete Pt. 2
The Angel Wings are now 100% complete! They are all rolled up and ready to package and ship. In total this project took just under 100 hours to complete and, after all that, I’m still not tired of making wings. In fact, I’ve already begun drafting new frame designs – there is always room to improve.
They are absolutely magnificent! I am so in awe of what you make :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Dani,
ReplyDeleteI just nominated your blog for a KreativBloggers award. I know that not everyone enjoys posting memes, so I don't want you to feel any obligation...just wanted you to know that I find your blog very very inspiring :-)

Oh my gosh....I'm visiting because I can never resist a proud Mama's comment (being one myself) and an invitation to go see what has made her so proud...and Cyndi is right, these are something to be in awe of...they are amazing!!! As a fan of all things winged myself, I am completely amazed!!! Well done!
ReplyDeleteOMG ... I almost expected Dani to take flight there. Thank goodness a big wind didn't come along!
ReplyDeleteSimply amazing!!
I'm curious about why they were commissioned. Perhaps someday you can tell us - or maybe I missed it.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy with this particular piece.
I'm honestly not entirely certain why they were commissioned though. I do know that they are part of a larger costume and I would speculate that the buyer plans to wear them at some sort of convention. I'm hoping the buyer might send me images from whatever event he wears them to.
Wow! How super cool! Your mom has great reason to be proud of your work with this wings, they are spectacular. Good luck on your future endeavors!

wow! amazing! im making some wings of my own but am a little stuck. where do u get suck large feathers???
ReplyDeleteYou wont find feathers this size in any stores. The large primary and secondary feathers must be made, many wing builders use fabric with a rigid center shaft to construct their feathers.
DeleteHi Dani! I absolutely love your creations! I am in awe looking at these wings. I was hoping you could help me out, I am a very artistic person and I want to make a pair of wings like these for comic-con next year. Is there any way you can share with me your construction, how you made these, materials, ect? It would be a HUGE help! Please email me, kpaulino17@gmail.com
